KATSUKI Yuka (b.1996, Osaka pref, lives and works in Tokyo)
is an artist who visualizes "movement" with her unique sense.
She composes her works from curves tracing layers
of the ever-changing movements of animated characters.
She earned his master's degree
in a painting course at Kyoto Saga University.
In my daily life, I feel the power to be swept away by activity,
motivation, and grandeur, mainly from the information
I receive through sight, hearing, and touch, and from an environment
surrounded by unexpected events.
This feeling is regarded as a "sense of movement".
If you cut that feeling cross-sectionally, y
ou can see "movement" as various layers.
In order to visualize this "sense of movement" and "movement"
as a layer while emphasizing importance,
the animation composed of characters on the background
and cell drawings is produced as a material.
Traces curves that constantly change
according to the character's flexibility and rhythm
and reconstructs them on the screen.
Try to see what they are accepted as.
