村澤千里個展

KUNSTARZT では、村澤千里の初個展を開催します。
村澤千里は、箔のもろさ、儚さを活かし、
独自の絵画表現を追求するアーティストです。
イギリス留学の際、日本への帰路のチケットを紛失したものの、
現地で絵画を販売することによってチケット代金を獲得したという
エピソードがあります。その際に苦しみながらも
自分自身の中から引き出した箔による絵画表現は、
西洋の視点からも耐えうる‘日本美’として再認識できる
経験だったようです。
ミニマルとアブストラクト、デジタルとアナログ、日本と西洋など、
彼女の絵画に内包する幾つものメタファーやレイヤーも、
彼女の絵画の魅力となっています。

アーティストステートメント
私が箔に魅了されるのは、箔が繊細で、美しいからだ。
まっすぐな線や強い輝きは、たたけば脆く、儚く、掴みどころがない。
まるでセンシティブで、複雑な感情部分をうまく映し出しているようである。
私は典型的日本人と言われたことがあるように、日本人が自然の移ろい、
つまり変化しゆく切なさに美をみいだすように、
また、枯葉が美として例えられるように、
形や色が訴えかけてくる儚さや繊細さを、
画面に生み出したいのである。
Artist statement
Within my work, I strive to express the emotions
I feel that cannot be put into words. I take my influences from Nature
- sky, woods, rolling hills of my hometown in Nagano. And also,
I want to express my feeling such as sadness,
happiness or confused which is influenced by people around me.
That is why I titled this exhibition “Sensitive”. Art is the way for
me to
share of my pain or happiness.
I use lots of silver leaves, along with natural pigments of Japanese
traditional painting material made up of strong beautiful colours and surface.
I experiment with different colours,
compositions and sizes to see the differences of physical effects.
The use of the silver leaves is the key, creating unpredictable forms,
depths,
and exploring different levels of layers.
